Russian antitrust clears Rosneft to buy state stake in Bashneft
MOSCOW, Nov 29 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Federal Antimonopoly Service has cleared oil major Rosneft to buy shares of oil company Bashneft, but has given a number of requirements, the service said Tuesday.
In October, Rosneft closed a deal to buy the government’s 50.0755% stake in Bashneft for 329.7 billion rubles.
The antitrust body has instructed Rosneft to sell gas filling stations within two years in those regions where the combined share of Rosneft and Bashneft on the retail motor fuel market exceeds 50%.
